Resorts World Casino announced Tuesday the “MrBeast Experience” is coming to their Las Vegas hotel from April 13 through 15. Along with a three-night stay in the hotel, fans will receive a mystery bag mimicing the money sacks MrBeast gives away in his videos. Inside the bags will be MrBeast merchandise and the opportunity to win $10,000.
“Obviously (Donaldson) was on a short list of someone I wanted to work with,” Ronn Nicolli, CMO of Resorts World Las Vegas told Passionfruit. “When I look at what Jimmy and his team have been able to do, engaging with consumers and essentially building that next generation of Las Vegas travelers. It gets me excited.”
Guests staying at the resort can also partake in a handful of “activations” themed after the MrBeast branding. The specifics of these activations are still being worked on.
According to Nicolli, it was important to “gamify” the experience. After all, games are the other consistent pillar of the channel outside of Jimmy Donaldson’s face. Donaldson himself will not be making an appearance at the event.
How Did The MrBeast Experience Come Into Existence?
Niccoli first connected with the MrBeast team in April when the YouTuber was scouting locations to film the Beast Games. Eventually, his team at the casino connected MrBeast’s team with the president of the Las Vegas Raiders. The Raiders stadium housed the controversial and hectic Vegas round of the Beast Games.
“I’m hoping that this is a jumping-off point to do more things together,” Niccoli said. He hopes this is the start of something bigger, like the second season of the Beast Games being filmed at the property.
According to the leaked MrBeast production manual, “the average MrBeast viewer is a teenage memer that likes video games.” Teens are obviously a bit too young to get to stay in a casino on their own. However, they can be quite convincing to their parents.
“I do think that there’s going to be some of that generational connection where parents are going to, you know, have to partake in buying a package because the kids are going to be interested in it,” Niccoli said.
The MrBeast Brand Is Big Business
The MrBeast brand generates around $700 million a year. Its kid-friendly catalog includes chocolate bars, action figures, Lunchable alternatives, and YouTube videos. Recently, Donaldson and his brand have been open to engaging with more adult sponsorships.
A November video was sponsored by sports betting app Yahoo Sports. Beast Games partnered with a pay-day loan company MoneyLion, which some experts have described as “predatory lenders.”
Over the past year, controversies have surrounded the MrBeast brand. Donaldson’s second-in-command Ava Tyson stepped down from the company amidst sexual harassment claims. Beast Games contestants suing the production. Still, these controversies have done little to slow down his growth.
MrBeast’s core audience is so strong that they’d even be willing to spend thousands to come to Vegas. Even if its just to get a burlap sack, merch, and the chance of winning some money.
