Elon Musk, who may well be the most online person in the world, has hit out at Hasan Piker for doing his job.
The beef was sparked on March 25, with notorious poster Mark Kern sharing a screenshot of Piker promoting Assassin’s Creed: Shadows. This was accompanied by a scathing post reading: “You can tell a lot about Ubisoft with how much money they are throwing at terrorist-platforming streamers.”
In the replies, Musk jumped in, calling Piker a “fraud” before adding in a second post: “‘Sell-out’ would be more accurate. Objectively, he is promoting a terrible game just for the money.”
Piker then hit back in a post of his own, writing: “This b***h literally paid someone to powerlevel his character in POE 2 lmao. WYM i’m a fraud? Elon, I challenge you to a duel in Elden Ring. I will cook your fat rolling a*s.”
In an amusing turn of events, the official Assassin’s Creed account also made it clear what side it was on. After Musk called Piker a “fraud,” the account jumped in.
Musk previously admitted in private texts that he paid someone to level up his character in POE2.
Musk then called Piker a slur for blocking him on X. Piker replied: “If Elon isn’t chickenshit, he’ll come on the stream. we all know he won’t. he ducked Mark Zuckerberg, he ran away from Jon Stewart and now he’s ducking a Twitch streamer.”
Between being humbled by both Piker and the official Assassin’s Creed account, it’s pretty obvious who won. Though we have to be honest — seeing a senior member of the US government getting into scrapes on X like this is increasingly less funny.
