The $1,000 MrBeast Experience Is The New Fyre Festival

Earlier this week, fans of Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson flocked to Las Vegas for the MrBeast Experience. The event, which took place between April 13 and 15, was meant to include a “mystery box” of MrBeast merchandise.

Guests said they were also told that throughout their three-night stay, they would be able to participate in a series of MrBeast-themed mini-games—or, as the event puts it, “activations.” Additionally, customers said they were told that there would be photo ops and meet-and-greets, according to Newsweek.

However, customers were left feeling short-changed by the $1,000 experience. “We didn’t get any of that,” customer Theresa Metta told 8 News Now. “I was told to wait in my room for two days, waiting for a package to come. I legit spent two days in Vegas in a room doing nothing, just waiting for a MrBeast package to come that was a box of chocolates.”

Metta also claims that the only merch she received was products that didn’t fit. To make matters worse, she said that the items she received were already listed as clearance for $9 in the MrBeast store.

And Metta wasn’t the only one who felt let down. Videos on X also showed disgruntled patrons gathering in the foyer and confronting hotel staff. “These kids, these young adults, these influencers, they wanted to see Jimmy,” one woman said in a video. “They thought people were gonna be here. They thought there was an experience.”

While it’s worth noting that it was never stated that Donaldson would be at the event, $1,000 is a lot of money to sit in a hotel room and receive ill-fitting MrBeast t-shirts.

Fortunately, it looks like Donaldson and Resorts World Las Vegas are taking action.

In an X post, Donaldson said: “This definitely isn’t the experience we hoped they’d deliver. My team’s already on it—I’d love to personally make it up to you and anyone else by inviting everybody affected to tour my actual studio! Can’t wait to meet you all and my team is reaching out to everyone.”

Additionally, the Resorts World Las Vegas CEO told 8 News Now that attendees would be fully refunded for the event.

But where does that leave MrBeast Experience? Well, it has now joined the catastrophic event failure hall of fame, accompanied by the likes of Dashcon, Fyre Festival, and the Willy Wonka Experience.
