Hollywood starlet Sydney Sweeney is taking a leaf out of gamer girls’ books by selling her own bathwater.
The Euphoria actor is collaborating with Dr. Squatch, a soap brand known for its risque and chronically online partnerships with brands like Trojan, Harry Potter, and Jurassic Park.
Last year, Sweeney starred in a Dr Squatch commercial, which featured her in a bathtub. The ad quickly went viral, and in an X post, Dr Squatch claimed that they kept her bathwater.
“You kept asking about Sydney Sweeney’s bathwater after we released our commercial… so we kept it,” the company wrote. “Introducing Sydney’s Bathwater Bliss! A very real, limited-edition soap made with Sydney’s actual bathwater.”
The soap, which is called ‘Sydney’s Bathwater Bliss,’ is medium grit and made with exfoliating sand and pine bark extract.
The Independent reports that only 5,000 of the soaps will be made, with Dr. Squatch hosting a giveaway until June 5. To get one of the 100 soaps on offer, entrants need to like and comment on a specific Instagram post.
“When your fans start asking for your bathwater, you can either ignore it, or turn it into a bar of Dr. Squatch soap,” Sweeney said in a press release cited by The Independent. “It’s weird in the best way, and I love that we created something that’s not just unforgettable, it actually smells incredible and delivers like every other Dr. Squatch product I love. Hopefully, this helps guys wake up to the realities of conventional personal care products and pushes them towards natural.”
As previously mentioned, the trend of selling bathwater was popularized by adult creator Belle Delphine. Delphine previously said on X that while her bathwater sale brought in $90,000, PayPal confiscated the money. Likewise, Tubefilter reports that streamer and OnlyFans creator Amouranth sold 3,000 jars of bathwater for $1,000 each.
Clearly, women taking ownership of the sexualization they receive online isn’t just liberating — it’s also a smart business move. Sweeney’s soaps will be available to purchase on June 6 at the Dr Squach site.
