TikTok has announced a new integration with events platform Eventbrite. The partnership will enable creators to promote events and sell tickets without leaving the TikTok app.
A new in-app browser will now enable users to view, book, and purchase Eventbrite tickets. Creators will also be able to add multiple Eventbrite links at once, giving them the option to promote numerous events simultaneously.
In a press release, TikTok said the integration will benefit both local and independent event creators with “significant exposure.”
This new feature is available in all countries where Eventbrite and TikTok services are both available. However, there are a few requirements for your event to be eligible.
Eligible events must have paid tickets, be publicly listed on Eventbrite, and occur within the next 90 days (for music events, this is 180 days).
TikTok implemented a similar integration with Ticketmaster last August. Since then, the app claims that it has facilitated more than 2.5 billion video views for musicians on the platform. Hopefully, this Eventbrite integration will have a similar effect.
How can you sell Eventbrite tickets on TikTok?
After you’ve made a new TikTok and it’s ready for publishing, you can click “Add Link,” “Tickets,” and “Eventbrite” to link an Eventbrite event to a video.
Then, you’ll get the option to search for the event’s name and select the one you want to link to your video. You will then need to click the red button at the bottom of the page that says “Link to post,” and then click “Post” as usual to publish your TikTok.
“With this partnership, millions of people can now easily discover and attend the best events in their cities, right from where the conversation is happening — on TikTok,” Ted Dworkin, Chief Product Officer at Eventbrite, said in a statement.
