Whether you love it or loathe it, MrBeast’s Amazon show, Beast Games, made a splash when it debuted in December 2024. The premise of the series involved 1,000 players battling it out in a series of challenges for the chance of getting that $10 million prize.

While slightly Squid Game-esque, the show was definitely history-making. It broke a total of 44 Guinness World Records while filming, and quickly became Amazon’s most-watched unscripted series ever. The series reached 50 million views in the first 25 days, and was Amazon Prime Video’s second largest 2024 debut.

That being said, reviewers weren’t convinced by Beast Games, with the show receiving a 20% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The series has also been shrouded in controversy. Five former contestants sued the show for mistreatment, and a crew member reportedly had a serious accident on set.

However, that clearly hasn’t stopped the show from moving forward. Beast Games has been renewed for two more seasons. Sanders, head of television at Amazon MGM Studios, told Deadline the show “achieved a significant milestone for our global Prime Video customers, bringing to life the largest reality competition series ever.”

Jeff Housenbold, CEO of MrBeast Industries, added: “Our goal was to deliver the biggest, boldest competition series ever created, and the response has exceeded every expectation.”

“Beast Games resonated with fans around the world, and that’s a testament to the creativity of Jimmy and the entire Beast team. We’re grateful to Amazon for their continued partnership, and we’re excited to raise the bar even higher in the next two seasons.”
