Content creators Logan and Jake Paul have caused a frenzy after teasing that they might face off in the ring.
A poster of the two brothers standing nose-to-nose was released on Jan. 28, with accompanying text reading: “March 27, Max.” Separately, on their own X accounts, the controversial duo shared the image with the caption: “The moment you’ve been waiting a decade for.”
Jake Paul announced today that a press conference for whatever the event is will be held on January 29, 2025, at 4 p.m. ET.
Naturally, fans on X assumed that this was a reference to a potential boxing match between the pair.
Logan Paul, 29, has been on the boxing scene since 2018, having fought the likes of KSI and Floyd Mayweather. Jake Paul, 28, soon followed, and quickly progressed to fighting the likes of Tommy Fury and Mike Tyson.
However, those hoping that the poster was teasing a boxing match may have jumped the gun just a bit. Multiple sources have told ESPN‘s Mike Coppinger that the poster was actually a teaser for an upcoming reality series.
Nonetheless, Jake Paul discussed potentially fighting his brother during an appearance on the All The Smoke Fight show.
“I’m okay with fighting my brother, because I wouldn’t have to be the one that dealt with losing,” he said. “Seriously. Emotionally, if that would scar him, then he shouldn’t do it. But if he’s going to sign up, I don’t have to be the one to lose.”
Even if this teaser is for a reality show, what this situation shows is that there’s certainly a demand there for a fight between the two brothers. Perhaps, eventually, this will push them to give the people what they want.
