CREATOR ECONOMY NEWSLETTER

Perhaps there is no better example than the whole Pink Sauce debacle that has taken social media by storm over the past few days. Chef Pii, a private chef, began promoting her concoction in June and quickly started selling bottles of sauce to excited viewers who wanted in on the trend. However, TikTok users began to question the chef’s food safety practices and the shipping methods for the sauce, which appeared to be a perishable item with few preservatives. Chef Pii addressed the controversy in an interview with Passionfruit reporter Grace Stanley.
