Brand deals are the bread and butter of the creator economy — but some brands are taking control and hiring dedicated creators in full-time positions. Starbucks is now one of those brands.

In a job ad, the coffee giant detailed that it was hiring two content creators: one an existing Starbucks employee, and the other an external candidate. Their job is simple: “to capture their journeys to unique Starbucks locations around the world on social media.” This includes Starbucks’ coffee farm in Hacienda Alsacia, Costa Rica, the brand’s roastery in Milan, Italy, and numerous “breathtaking” coffee houses in Tokyo, Japan. In total, the job ad states that the creators will be required to visit 10-15 locations worldwide.

Amid all the travelling for this role, these creators will also be expected to work from home on occasion, piecing all this content together. In turn, proficiency in editing programs like CapCut, Final Cut Pro, and Adobe InDesign. However, applicants don’t need to be a fully-fledged creator already if they want to apply.

“This is more than a job; it’s a chance to immerse yourself in the world of coffee, meet new people and see new places,” Starbucks says in the job description. “If you’re ready to pack your bags and share the Starbucks experience through a fresh lens, we’d love to hear from you.”

To apply, there are two steps. Firstly, candidates must post a public TikTok tagged with #StarbucksGlobalCoffeeCreator in the caption. The clip must tell Starbucks “why you, a coffee-obsessed, chronically online, world traveler, are the right fit for the job.” The second, more traditional step is to complete an application form.

If you want to apply for the role, click here. You have until June 13.
