If Vidcon is summer camp for creators, Streamer Prom is, well, prom. The event, which took place on June 18, was a huge success with hundreds of thousands of viewers.

Streamer Prom is the brainchild of FunnyMike and his management team Fixated. According to Tubefilter, Stream Prom was choc-a-block with over 50 acclaimed creators in attendance. Notable guests include members of the FaZe Clan and AMP, as well as hot-shot individuals like Wendy Ortiz, Sketch, DDG, jasontheween, and Sakura.

Like any good celebration, Streamer Prom included fire fits, music, dancing, and even its very own prom king and queen (which was sponsored by Popeye’s). 1,575 separate Twitch channels streamed the prom for their audiences, leading to a combined live watch time of 4.49 million hours. The event peaked at 562,883 concurrent viewers, and on Twitch alone, produced 513 years of watch time.

Streamer Prom also generated a lot of buzz and FOMO outside of the streamer — it became a trending topic on X, and clips of it have spread across TikTok and YouTube.

But what’s the secret to Streamer Prom’s success? According to Fixated Founding Partner and CEO Zach Katz, it’s because of the mainstreamisation of streamer culture.

“Streamer Prom is proof of where the culture is headed. Streaming has overtaken every other form of media consumption for this generation, and creators like FunnyMike aren’t just riding the wave, they’re shaping it,” he said.

What he pulled off wasn’t just entertaining, it was conceptually sharp, creatively bold, and flawlessly executed,” he said. “At Fixated, this is exactly why we exist: to go all-in with visionary creators and help bring their most ambitious ideas to life. FunnyMike set a new bar, and the industry is taking notice.”
