Streamlabs, a software company specializing in streaming tools and resources, announced the launch of a unique new integration with TikTok Live.
As of April 10, the integration allows users to log into both Streamlabs Desktop and the Streamlabs Mobile App without needing a TikTok stream key. The feature will also enable creators to simultaneously broadcast on any other platform of their choice alongside TikTok.
“TikTok is more than just a platform: it’s a culture-maker and the primary platform of a generation.” Ashray Urs, Head of Product at Streamlabs, said in a statement. “Today’s integration marks a significant development in our partnership with TikTok as they continue their growth into gaming and live streaming.”
Previously, the process of going live on TikTok was a lot more convoluted for creators. They had to retrieve and enter a streaming key (a unique identifier for your stream) along with a separate streaming URL. They then had to go live both on TikTok and on Streamlab.
But now, the vertical video platform joins the likes of YouTube and Twitch in allowing integrated streams with Streamlabs. It also complements Streamlabs’ Dual Output functionality, which helps creators create and share horizontal and vertical resolutions simultaneously.
“We are excited to bring this collaboration to life with Streamlabs as it empowers TikTok to continue our mission to inspire creativity and bring joy to the #GamingonTikTok community,” Chris Castagnetto, Gaming Business Development at TikTok, added in a statement. “We look forward to tuning in LIVE to more community driven gaming experiences thanks to this partnership.”
