Nintendo is having a hell of a year. The Super Mario Bros movie is the biggest hit of the year, and the latest adaption in the Legend of Zelda series, Tears of the Kingdom, will release on May 12. Many fans are excited to make videos reacting to the new game.
However, some creators are currently facing copyright issues with the titan publisher. It recently issued a number of copyright strikes to a popular streamer, known as âPointCrow,â nearly de-platforming him from YouTube for some of his videos reacting to modded versions of Nintendo games.

- Hollywood writers are on strike for the first time in 15 years. Creators are joining the picket line, and fandoms are speaking out in support of their favorite writers.
- Controversial streamer Adin Ross, who we’ve written about in the past, is getting called out for allegedly making false copyright claims against other creators like Streamer Hasan Piker and YouTuber Internet Anarchist.
- TikTok opened up its revamped creator fund to U.S.-based creators. However, the program isnât very transparent, and itâs unclear how much money will actually be going to creatorsânot surprising considering how unhappy many creators were with the stagnant fund in the past.
- Discord is slowly making users change their usernames to no longer include four-digit codes, prioritizing users who have been on the platform the longest. Many users expressed worry about not being able to snag their desired name.
- Actor and film commentator Brett Goldsteinâs Films to Be Buried With podcast is joining iHeartMedia as part of Will Ferrellâs Big Money Players Network. In his show, Goldstein brings on guests to discuss the films that have most impacted their lives based on the premise that they have diedâitâs a must-listen.
