In the 2025 Grammy nominations, one musician stood out from the rest: Charli XCX. Her album, Brat, amassed a total of seven nominations, one of which was for Best Remixed Recording. In this category, AG Cook’s remix of “Von Dutch” with TikTok star Addison Rae was nominated.

While the Grammy would be technically awarded to Cook, being involved with a Grammy-awarded song is pretty cool bragging rights for Rae, who already has 88 million TikTok followers.

While she’s best known for her dancing on TikTok, Rae has branched out as a creator and performer in recent years. She’s starred in movies like “He’s All That,” hit a high of 8.2 million Spotify listeners following the release of her song “Diet Pepsi,” and recently released the single Aquamarine, which already has 3 million YouTube views.

Rae has been trying to make it in the music industry for a while now, having signed with Columbia Records back in 2021. Now that she’s affiliated with the soundtrack of the summer, she may be ready for her own Sabrina Carpenter moment.

Is Addison Rae the only TikToker involved in Grammy-nominated songs?

For the 2024 Grammys, fellow influencer Madison Beer was nominated in the Best Immersive Audio category. Moreover, the TikTok-famous Unofficial Bridgerton Musical album won the Best Musical Theatre Album gong back in 2022.

Ultimately, Rae’s inclusion in a Grammy-nominated song just hammers home the point that creators aren’t going anywhere. They’re ready and waiting to influence not just viewers, but pop culture as a whole.
