Alex Cooper of “Call Her Daddy” fame has ditched Spotify as an exclusive distributor. She’s signed a new, just-over-three-year deal with SiriusXM instead.

This deal will give the platform exclusive rights to advertising, distribution, content, and events related to Cooper’s flagship podcast and her Unwell Audio Network.

The Unwell Network runs podcasts by other creators, including Alix Earle, Madeline Argy, and Harry Jowsey. These creators’ podcasts, including “Call Her Daddy,” will remain streaming on Spotify despite the new SiriusXM deal.

It’s currently unclear how much the deal is worth, with different sources telling Variety different figures, but it’s believed to be valued between $100-$125 million. By contrast, Variety claims that Cooper’s 3-year exclusivity deal with Spotify was worth $60 million.

“I am beyond excited to work with SiriusXM,” Cooper said in a statement. “The Daddy Gang will always be my top priority, and with SiriusXM we will continue to find new ways to evolve and provide my listeners the best experience.”

“The Daddy Gang wants more, so we’re getting ready to give them more,” Cooper continued. “I can’t wait for this new chapter to begin.”

What is Call Her Daddy?

“Call Her Daddy,” which was originally part of Barstool Sports, has been an active podcast since 2018. For the past three years, the podcast has held the record of the second most-listened podcast on Spotify. It takes a candid approach to topics like health, sexuality, romance, and dating.

The podcast welcomed a huge array of guests over the years, like Miley Cyrus, Post Malone, Hailey Bieber, Kim Petras, Jane Fonda, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Madison Beer, among others.

Losing this podcast deal might be considered a blow to Spotify, but the platform isn’t doing too badly for itself. After all, it recently signed a $250 million partnership deal with Joe Rogan, the other big hitter on the platform.

However, it seems Spotify is moving away from exclusivity contracts — with Rogan’s new partnership no longer requiring the podcast to be exclusive to the platform.
