Today is National Voter Registration Day. To commemorate the day, a host of creators are turning their Linktree profiles into voter registration hubs.

Creators involved include Bella Poarch, Stephen CurryTara & Hunter Davis-WoodhallMaggie Rogers, Hannah ChodyMichael KostaErika Alexander, and Hank Green. Altogether, over a hundred celebrities and creators have joined this campaign.

The campaign is part of a collaboration between Linktree and Vote.org. Vote.org is a non-partisan platform that campaigns for American citizens to show up and make their vote count.

Lara Cohen — Linktree’s Senior Vice President of Marketing, Partnerships, and Business Development — told Passionfruit that “at Linktree, we’ve seen firsthand the power of creators in shaping culture.”

“Creators influence more than just fashion trends, they shape the cultural conversation and can drive meaningful change,” she added. “They’re deeply passionate about driving their audiences to what they care about most, and this election year, many are focused on mobilizing their fans to civic engagement and getting out the vote.”

How does the Linktree voter registration campaign work?

When you click on these creators’ Linktree links, you will be redirected to a voter registration page. Their pages have also been updated with Linktree’s US Voter Registration Banner.

Until election day, free members of Linktree can add the banner to their own pages. Meanwhile, paid members of the link-sharing app have the option of directly redirecting users from their Linktree URL.

How are creators getting involved?

Switching up Linktree pages isn’t the only way creators are getting involved. Creators like Connor Franta, Lexi Hidalgo, and Odesza are also getting involved in a campaign across TikTok, Instagram, and even a Times Square billboard.

Another creator involved in this campaign is Emily Uribe, a pop culture expert. In a statement to Passionfruit, she shared what this campaign means to her.

“Coming from a family of immigrants, who have now gotten their papers to live here in the US, it is incredibly important for me to vote for people who can’t. I have seen the struggle and desire firsthand of wanting to be a part of the country you live in,” she said.

“I already align with Linktree and their values, so to see they’ve partnered with an organization to keep people informed, as a creator, it makes me feel so comfortable to use the platform.”

Similarly, creator Jose Rolon told Passionfruit: “I joined the Linktree x Vote.org initiative to help make voting more accessible, especially for LGBTQ+ and Latinx communities. It aligns with my content by empowering my audience to take action on issues like equality, justice, and representation.”
