2025 is a big year for YouTube, as the video platform prepares to celebrate its 20th anniversary. As reported by Tube Filter, YouTube is marking the occasion by hosting ‘Creator Collectives’ in all of the 50 states.
What is YouTube’s Creator Collective?
Launched in 2022, YouTube’s Creator Collective is a meet-up event designed for creators from all walks of life. They involve coming together to share ideas, network, and learn new skills to further their money-making potential. In a blog post, the YouTube Creator Experience Team said that these events are made “by creators, for creators.”
“From local gatherings to international events, we’ve seen firsthand how these connections translate to creators expanding their reach, building thriving businesses, and solidifying their place in the evolving creator economy,” the blog post adds.
Creator Collectives are scheduled for some of the biggest events in creators’ calendars, including SXSW, VidCon, and DreamCon. Moreover, alongside these standard Creative Collectives, YouTube revealed that its launching a “dedicated series” for short-form video creators.
