CREATOR NEWSLETTER
Issue #269 | September 3, 2024
Hey Creators! We took a brief hiatus this Labor Day to celebrate our hard work and achievements. In honor of the day, I want to give a quick shout out to one of my favorite creators: the anti-work girlboss.
The anti-work girl boss, aka Gabrielle Judge, is probably best known for coining the term “lazy girl jobs” (in other words, jobs that offer a high level of flexibility and a good work-life balance.) But overall, Judge’s content is focused on empowering the next generation to “redefine work, embrace true balance, and challenge the norms that keep us tethered to the traditional narrative.”
For those of us burnt out from hustle culture, Judge encourages us to realign with our truest passions and values.
In one recent video, Judge noted that most of us are in places where we either want to “learn, earn, or coast.” Learning, of course, is gaining more knowledge and skills. Earning, naturally, is focusing on your income. And coasting is for those times when you need a break, and you just need to skate by or embrace laziness.
THE COMMENTS SECTION
“You can do one or two of these things at a time realistically. Your life, goals, and career has seasons. Nothing is static. You may be focusing on coasting one year and then the next be focusing on earning more money. Sometimes I am coasting because I am tired from learning. Other times I am learning to earn more. Other times I am earning to be able coast later.”
